My Story

I have been growing, cooking, preserving, and eating food from my garden in Alaska for 18 years. Salads are a specialty of mine, hence the blog name. But I also love to preserve (can, freeze, ferment, and store) veggies for the long dark winter and cook things inspired by books, travel, and simple curiosity.
